Itron expands collaboration with Duquesne Light on next-generation smart meter upgrade
ITRI•Itron expanded its collaboration with Duquesne Light to support a next-generation advanced metering infrastructure upgrade, starting with 20,000 distributed intelligence-enabled endpoints.
1. Initial deployment
The deployment will use Itron’s Grid Edge Intelligence and build on Duquesne Light’s existing OpenWay smart meter network. The endpoints are aimed at improving fault and outage detection and response times, while supporting greater grid visibility, reliability and real-time operational decision-making.
