US EXIM raises potential debt financing for Santa Cruz
Ivanhoe Electric Inc. said it received a preliminary project letter from the US Export-Import Bank for $1.1 billion in potential debt financing for its Santa Cruz Copper Project.
The letter provides increased potential debt financing from $825 million included in US EXIM’s April 2025 letter, the company said on its website.
Ivanhoe Electric said it is anticipating final US EXIM Board consideration during the spring of 2027.
The company expects to complete the updated preliminary feasibility study for the Santa Cruz Copper Project in September 2026.
Ivanhoe Electric said the preliminary project letter does not constitute a financing commitment, and any financing remains subject to completion of EXIM Bank’s review and approval.
