Ivanhoe Electric added Michelle Lammers as chief operating officer, effective Sept. 1, 2026, as it advances the Santa Cruz Copper Project in Arizona.

Daniel Worthy joined as SVP of operations and Santa Cruz general manager, taking day-to-day responsibility for construction, commissioning, ramp-up, and operations.

The updated preliminary feasibility study for the high-grade underground project remains on track for completion in September 2026.

Santa Cruz is designed to produce 99.99% copper cathode onsite using heap leaching and solvent extraction-electrowinning, avoiding smelting.
