Jackson reports higher net income and stronger annuity sales
Jackson posted net income attributable to common shareholders of $644 million, or $9.16 per diluted share, up from $168 million a year earlier.
Adjusted operating earnings (non-GAAP) rose to $513 million, or $7.30 per diluted share, from $350 million; adjusted EPS excluding notable items was $7.68.
Retail annuity sales climbed 34% from a year earlier to $5.9 billion, led by record RILA sales of $2.3 billion, up 69%.
The company returned $290 million to common shareholders through $227 million of repurchases and $63 million of dividends; free cash flow (non-GAAP) was $287 million.
CEO Laura Prieskorn cited momentum in spread products, supported by added capabilities at PPM and growth in the TPG partnership.
