1. Preliminary study findings
Jaguar Health highlighted preliminary findings from an open-label crofelemer study in adults with short bowel syndrome and intestinal failure, presented Oct. 13, 2026, at the ACG meeting. Some patients improved on treatment, while output worsened in several cases after therapy stopped. No significant adverse events were reported in participants who completed the protocol.
2. Trials and filing plans
A randomized, double-blind Phase 2 trial in adults with Type 1 short bowel syndrome is underway, with results expected early in the second half of 2027. The intestinal-failure program targets reduced reliance on parenteral support, and Jaguar Health plans to file an MVID NDA in mid-2027.
