Jaguar Health unit Napo sponsors pediatric intestinal failure panel as crofelemer studies continue
JAGX•Jaguar Health’s Napo unit outlined progress in studies of oral crofelemer for pediatric intestinal failure linked to MVID or SBS-IF. The program targets a planned mid-2027 NDA filing for MVID, and Napo will sponsor a panel on Oct. 30, 2026.
1. Study progress
Results from ongoing investigational use of crofelemer in children treated for more than a year were presented in June 2026 at an ESPGHAN meeting. Studies showed meaningful reductions in dependence on parenteral support, with no notable clinical or laboratory safety concerns.
2. Panel and filing timeline
Napo will sponsor a pediatric intestinal failure panel on Oct. 30, 2026, at a pediatric gastroenterology meeting in Abu Dhabi. The program timeline points to a planned mid-2027 NDA filing for crofelemer in MVID, a rare intestinal failure disease.
