Yen trading volumes hit 10-year high on EBS
LONDON, July 31 (Rtrs) - Spot yen trading volumes were at their highest in 10 years on the EBS trading platform on Thursday and futures trading volumes were their highest on record, as Japanese authorities conducted yen-buying, dollar-selling intervention, the CME Group said.
Spot yen trading volumes totalled $102 billion on Thursday, the highest daily volume in over a decade, said CME, which runs the EBS platform, the main marketplace for the currency.
