JetBlue Wins Sixth Best U.S. Economy Cabin Award and Expands Service
JetBlue has been awarded The Points Guy's Best U.S. Economy Cabin for the sixth time and ninth TPG Award since 2018, recognizing its transatlantic service. In 2025, the airline launched its EvenMore premium economy, adopted Amazon Leo satellite Wi-Fi, and expanded economy offerings to new leisure and European routes.
1. CEO Projects 2026 as Breakout Year
JetBlue’s CEO Joanna Geraghty told CNBC’s Closing Bell that 2026 will be the airline’s year, citing resilience through late-year winter storms and a record on-time performance of 82% in December. The airline carried over 12 million passengers in Q4 2025, up 4% year-over-year, with strong demand in transcontinental and Caribbean routes. Geraghty highlighted strategic capacity growth of 3% in 2026, new service to Lisbon and expanded operations at Orlando International, and a full return to pre-pandemic fleet utilization by mid-year.
2. Sixth Best U.S. Economy Cabin Award from The Points Guy
JetBlue secured its sixth TPG Award for Best U.S. Economy Cabin, and its ninth TPG accolade since 2018, cementing leadership in value and in-flight experience. The airline’s core product features seatback entertainment, free Fly-Fi broadband (over 2,500 terabytes streamed monthly), and complimentary branded snacks. In 2025 JetBlue rolled out its EvenMore® premium economy on 100+ domestic and transatlantic flights, adding dedicated bin space, free alcoholic beverages and priority boarding.
3. Q4 Financials Show Wider Loss but Revenue Beat, Shares Up 6.6%
For Q4 JetBlue posted a net loss of $155 million, wider than the $120 million loss a year earlier, yet revenue of $2.1 billion topped consensus by 1.8%. Premium cabin revenue grew 9% year-over-year, driven by EvenMore® uptake, while unit costs declined 2% excluding fuel. Following the earnings release, shares jumped 6.6%, reflecting investor confidence in margin recovery as fuel prices stabilize and summer bookings accelerate.
