John Marshall Bancorp posted Q2 net income of $7 million, up 37.5% from a year earlier; diluted EPS rose 38.9% to $0.50.
Net interest income climbed 16.1% to $17.3 million; net interest margin widened 30 basis points to 2.99%.
Total revenue rose 21.7% year over year; the efficiency ratio improved to 50.5% from 53.9%.
Balance sheet growth and dividend increase
Loans, net of unearned income, grew $41.2 million in the quarter to $2.01 billion, topping $2 billion for the first time; assets reached $2.4 billion.
The board lifted the quarterly cash dividend to $0.10 per share, payable Aug. 26; management said the Q3 loan pipeline looks strong.
