KLRA•Kailera Therapeutics’ third-quarter net loss widened year over year to $95.67 million as research and development spending increased. The company said its cash and marketable securities are expected to fund operations into mid-2028.
Kailera Therapeutics reported a third-quarter net loss of $95.67 million and operating expenses of $106.34 million. It said higher research and development expenses reflected increased product-candidate development and related nonclinical, clinical and manufacturing costs, as well as higher personnel costs.
The company said all four lead clinical programs remain on track for key data readouts in 2027 and 2028. Kailera expects to initiate an oral Phase 3 program for ribupatide in the first half of 2027, with injection Phase 2b data expected in mid-2027 and Phase 3 data in mid-2028.
