Kala Bio signs LOI for exclusive US distribution of Virotek ophthalmology genetic tests

Kala Bio signed a letter of intent with Virotek for an exclusive U.S. distribution and reseller partnership for ophthalmology genetic testing.

Kala would market and distribute the program to U.S. eye care channels, while Virotek would run lab operations, kit fulfillment, processing and reporting.

Definitive agreements are targeted within about 30 days, and the deal remains subject to corporate, regulatory and Nasdaq approvals.

The parties also outlined a potential expansion into oncology, preventive health testing and telehealth channels, subject to mutual agreement.
