Kandi Technologies and HawkRobo Systems have established a joint venture, KH Robotics, targeting the commercialization of autonomous quadruped security robots in North America. Kandi, via its Zhejiang subsidiary, will hold a 70% equity interest, leveraging its manufacturing scale and global supply chain to lead production and deployment.
2. Leadership Appointment
Oliver Zhang, a former senior executive at Hikvision North America, has been appointed CEO of KH Robotics. Zhang’s extensive experience and industry relationships in the North American security market are expected to accelerate market penetration and customer acquisition.
3. Deployment Strategy and Technology
KH Robotics plans to focus initial deployments in logistics parks, integrating capabilities such as autonomous patrol, multimodal environmental perception, anomaly detection, and audio-visual warning systems. The venture aims for commercial readiness and initial customer deliveries of its AI-driven security robots within 2026.
