1. Reconnection schedule
Kansai Electric Power plans to reconnect its 1,180 MW Ohi nuclear Unit 3 to the grid in late January 2027. The reactor automatically shut down on August 8, 2026, after a generator shutdown triggered by a loss-of-field alarm.
2. Corrective work
Corrective measures include replacing the exciter, and the revised restart schedule follows a detailed review of that work. The unit's 22nd refueling outage began October 5, 2026, with no grid reconnection date determined at that time.
