Karman wins Northrop contract for Navy torpedo training system
Karman Holdings won a $21.3 million Northrop Grumman contract for the Proof of Manufacture phase of the U.S. Navy’s MK 54 Torpedo Fleet Exercise Section.
Work covers validating design, manufacturing, and test processes to support transition to low-rate initial production.
The Fleet Exercise Section replaces the live warhead with a recoverable training assembly for MK 54 anti-submarine warfare exercises.
