KB Home Secures 110 Homesites in Atlanta, Launching Whitley Meadows Community in 2027
KB Home has acquired 110 Atlanta homesites and will open its first community, Whitley Meadows, in early 2027 offering 2,000–3,100 sq ft homes with pool, playground and trails. Bill Schmidt, with over 35 years of homebuilding experience, will oversee Atlanta land acquisition, construction, sales and service.

KB Home has acquired 110 homesites in the Atlanta metropolitan area, marking its entry into one of the top-five U.S. housing markets. The company plans to open its first community, Whitley Meadows, in early 2027, with additional communities to follow in the coming years.

Division President Bill Schmidt, who joined KB Home in 2025, brings over 35 years of homebuilding experience, including more than 25 years in the Atlanta market, to oversee land acquisition, construction, sales and customer service across the region.

Located in Bethlehem, Georgia, Whitley Meadows will offer single-family homes ranging from 2,000 to 3,100 square feet, alongside amenities such as a pool, cabana, playground and walking trails, with zoning in Gwinnett County and proximity to State Road 316 and Interstate 85.
