1. Contract Award

KBR has been awarded an Integrated Field Management Services (IFMS) contract by Basra Oil Company to develop the Majnoon Oil Field in southern Iraq, one of the world’s largest with over 38 billion barrels of reserves. This award highlights KBR’s capabilities in delivering large-scale upstream engineering and operations services.

2. Scope of Services

Under the contract, KBR will provide subsurface drilling, reservoir engineering, operations management and maintenance services, integrating advanced AI-driven reservoir optimization and digital field technologies to modernize facilities and enhance production efficiency.

3. Workforce and Local Development

The project will engage approximately 2,000 in-country personnel, combining local hires with global engineering centers to foster knowledge transfer, build technical skills and support community initiatives focused on safety and operational excellence.
