Kenon receives USD 93 million from Peru in arbitration award payment

Peru makes payment on arbitration award

Kenon received about USD 93 million from Peru, net of a capital provider allocation and expenses, subject to tax.

The payment settles an ICSID arbitration award issued in October 2023, ending the dispute.

The total payment was about USD 203 million, reflecting damages, fees, costs, pre-award interest and post-award interest.

The tribunal had ordered Peru to pay USD 110.7 million in damages and USD 6.4 million in fees and costs.
