Kensington debuts FIDO2 Level 2 NFC+ USB-C and USB-A security keys
Kensington launched two FIDO2 Level 2 certified security keys—VeriMark NFC+ USB-C (K64739WW) and NFC+ USB-A (K64738WW)—with USB/NFC tap authentication and IP68 durability. Both models support FIDO CTAP 2.1, include a two-year warranty and will ship via global channels to meet rising enterprise MFA demands.
1. Product Launch
Kensington introduced two new hardware security keys under its VeriMark NFC+ portfolio: the USB-C model K64739WW and the USB-A model K64738WW. Both devices eliminate password vulnerabilities by requiring a physical tap via USB or NFC to authenticate logins.
2. Certification and Compatibility
Each key is FIDO2 Level 2 certified and supports the FIDO CTAP 2.1 protocol, enabling resident credentials, enterprise attestation and cross-platform Passkey use. They work across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android and Chrome OS without drivers.
3. Distribution and Warranty
The VeriMark NFC+ keys are available immediately through Kensington’s online store and global channel partners. Both products come with a two-year limited warranty and optional integration tools, such as the VeriMark Key Manager and Companion apps.
4. Market Implications
As enterprises accelerate adoption of phishing-resistant MFA hardware, these new offerings position Kensington to capture growth in zero-trust security solutions. The product expansion could drive incremental revenue for the company’s IT security segment.
