1. New beverage partner
KFC signed Coca-Cola as its beverage partner for US stores, ending a relationship with PepsiCo that dates back about four decades. Coca-Cola products are expected to be available at KFC’s 3,718 US restaurants by spring 2027, and financial details were not disclosed.
2. PepsiCo agreements continue
PepsiCo said it and Yum Brands recently renewed agreements covering Taco Bell and KFC International stores. The Taco Bell agreement is for 10 years. The loss of KFC’s US beverage business comes as PepsiCo works to improve sales in the country; CEO Ramon Laguarta said earlier this month that growth and margin recovery were taking longer than planned.
