Kinetic Launches $20/Month AlwaysOn Wi-Fi Backup in 18 States
UNIT•Kinetic has teamed up with eero to introduce AlwaysOn Wi-Fi, a wireless backup service offering unlimited data failover during outages. The service, priced at $20 per month with the first month free, will roll out this summer across Kinetic’s 18-state fiber footprint, starting in Kentucky and North Carolina.
1. Product Launch and Partnership
Kinetic has partnered with eero, an Amazon company, to develop AlwaysOn Wi-Fi powered by eero Signal. The solution provides seamless, automatic wireless backup with unlimited data whenever the primary fiber connection experiences an outage, maintaining connectivity for work, streaming and online activities without manual intervention.
2. Pricing and Rollout
AlwaysOn Wi-Fi is available to existing Kinetic fiber customers with eero Pro 7 hardware for $20 per month after a free first month. The service will expand across Kinetic’s entire 18-state footprint this summer, beginning in Kentucky and North Carolina, enhancing reliability and strengthening its position against traditional cable providers.
