KGC•Kinross lowers 2026-2027 production outlook
Kinross cut its 2026-2027 production expectations to 1.84 million-1.86 million Au eq. oz. per year, about 2% to 3% below prior guidance.
The company said the revision reflects disruptions at La Coipa and Round Mountain Phase S.
Updated cost outlook and third-quarter production target
Kinross also revised its 2026 cost outlook to:
- Production cost of sales: US$1,420-US$1,460 per Au eq. oz.
- All-in sustaining costs (AISC): US$1,850-US$1,900 per Au eq. oz.
The company said third-quarter attributable production is expected to be near 425,000 Au eq. oz. It also raised its return-of-capital target to 50% of 2026 free cash flow.
Weather disruption at La Coipa and weaker results at Round Mountain Phase S
Kinross said faced unprecedented winter weather in the third quarter, disrupting mining and milling and lowering mining rates, mill throughput and recoveries.
