Updated project economics for Lobo-Marte
Kinross updated economics for its Lobo-Marte gold project in Chile to reflect inflation since the 2021 feasibility study.
Steady-state output is forecast at about 350,000 ounces a year over an initial 15-year mine life, with all-in sustaining cost estimated near USD 1,000/oz.
Net present value is estimated at USD 4.3 billion at a USD 4,100/oz gold price, with an internal rate of return of 26% and payback of 2.3 years.
