KKR agrees to buy Japan beauty platform Ci FLAVORS

Funds managed by KKR agreed to acquire Japanese beauty and lifestyle platform Ci FLAVORS from its existing shareholders.

Founder Yusaku Horiuchi and Representative Director and CEO Yoshiaki Okura will invest alongside KKR as part of the deal.

Ci FLAVORS sells haircare, skincare and body care products through OEM, D2C, e-commerce and directly managed department stores.

KKR plans to back growth in Japan, accelerate international expansion, strengthen talent and organizational capabilities, and pursue strategic M&A.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
