KKR signs majority investment in India’s Cisternina Logistics
KKR•KKR funds agreed to buy a majority stake in India’s Cisternina Logistics, with proceeds supporting its planned purchase of Ganesh Benzoplast’s liquid storage terminal and rail business. The assets include about 500,000 KL of operating and under-construction capacity; financial terms were not disclosed.
1. Investment and planned purchase
KKR funds agreed to buy a majority stake in Cisternina Logistics, a bulk liquid and gas storage platform founded in 2024. Proceeds will support Cisternina’s planned purchase of Ganesh Benzoplast’s liquid storage terminal and rail business as its anchor asset.
2. Storage capacity
The assets include about 500,000 KL of operating and under-construction storage capacity at ports including JNPT, Cochin and Goa. Cisternina targets customers in energy, chemicals, bulk liquids and edible oils. Closing remains subject to customary conditions and approvals; financial terms were not disclosed.
