Kodiak AI, Charger USA partner on autonomous trucking lane between Dallas and Laredo
KDK•Kodiak AI and Charger USA began autonomous freight deliveries on a 435-mile lane between Dallas and Laredo, Texas. The service currently uses a safety driver, with driverless runs planned once Kodiak completes its safety case.
1. Freight service begins
Trucks equipped with the Kodiak Driver are hauling refrigerated and dry freight for consumer goods customers. The first delivery on the lane was completed on Sept. 8, 2026. The partners expect to expand to additional lanes as Charger integrates the Kodiak Driver into its fleet.
