Kodiak AI picks AWS as primary cloud provider for autonomous trucking development
AMZN•Kodiak AI selected Amazon Web Services as its primary cloud provider for autonomous trucking development, including safety simulations and GPU capacity to train its Kodiak Driver system. The collaboration is intended to support a planned driverless service on Texas public highways later in 2026.
1. Cloud support for trucking
AWS will support compute-heavy safety simulations for Kodiak’s BreakPoint validation tool, designed to quickly surface rare collision-risk edge cases, and provide GPU capacity to train models for the Kodiak Driver autonomous driving system. The collaboration is positioned to support Kodiak’s planned driverless service on Texas public highways later in 2026, with a path to broader U.S. expansion.
