KFY•Korn Ferry’s 2027 Talent Trends Report ranks adaptability as the most sought-after workforce skill; 77% of surveyed leaders say capability gaps will outweigh talent shortages.

The report says 78% of surveyed leaders believe workers are unprepared for future work, while 65% expect shortages of skilled manual and technical labor. It also says 63% expect AI agents to take over routine tasks, 65% expect skills-based work, and 66% plan heavy investment in reskilling; 40% plan to maintain entry-level hiring focused on higher-value work.
