Korro Bio reported preclinical results for subcutaneous KRRO-111, highlighting its potential to treat lung and liver manifestations of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Repeat-dose mouse studies achieved 96% SERPINA1 mRNA editing, with functional M-AAT accounting for 93% of total circulating AAT. Total circulating AAT reached 172 μM at Day 57, about six times vehicle-control levels.
In a separate mouse model, KRRO-111 reduced liver levels of pathogenic Z-AAT by 95% versus vehicle control at Day 57. Korro Bio expects a regulatory submission for KRRO-111 in the first half of 2027.
