Kratos expands Sacramento facility to build Elroy Air Chaparral autonomous cargo aircraft

Facility expansion and production plans
Kratos Defense will expand its Sacramento, California production facility to manufacture Elroy Air’s Chaparral autonomous cargo aircraft.
Kratos said it will be the exclusive U.S. manufacturer for Chaparral, with the first production aircraft targeted for late 2026.
The workforce in Sacramento is expected to rise by more than 50 from 450+ as production ramps, lifting regional headcount above 500.
