Kroger Health has announced that more than 250,000 high school students have now completed its “Prescription Drug Safety: Know the Truth” curriculum, delivered at no cost through a partnership with education technology provider Everfi. Since launching the program in the 2017–18 academic year, student participation has surged from roughly 700 individuals to nearly 65,000 in 2024–25 alone. Pre- and post-assessment data indicate participants show significant improvement in recognizing misuse warning signs and demonstrate readiness to support peers impacted by prescription drug misuse. Kroger Health president Colleen Lindholz emphasized that equipping young people with decision-making skills around safe medication use strengthens community resilience and aligns with the division’s mission to help people live healthier lives.

2. Kroger Expands On-Demand Grocery Delivery to Nearly 2,700 Locations via Uber Apps

The Kroger Co. has launched on-demand and same-day grocery delivery from nearly 2,700 Kroger Family of Companies stores through Uber Eats, Uber and Postmates, significantly broadening its digital fulfillment network. Participating banners include Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Smith’s, Fry’s and Harris Teeter, among others, offering fresh produce, household essentials and Kroger’s private-label brands. To celebrate the rollout, Uber is offering up to 50% off first orders and $0 delivery fees for Uber One members, enhancing value for millions of households.
