Kura Sushi USA reported Q3 fiscal 2026 sales of $85.9 million, up from $74.0 million in Q3 2025, with a comparable sales decline of 0.4% and an operating loss reduced to $39,000 versus $162,000 a year earlier.
2. Margin Improvement and Profitability
The company improved its restaurant-level operating profit margin to 19.1%, up 90 basis points, and grew adjusted EBITDA by over 20% to $6.6 million. Food and beverage costs rose to 30.2% of sales due to tariffs, partially offset by menu price increases and operational efficiencies.
3. Restaurant Expansion and Full-Year Outlook
During the quarter, seven new restaurants opened across five states, with three additional locations launched post-period. Full-year guidance remains for $330.5 million to $331.5 million in sales, 16 new restaurants, and an 18.5% restaurant-level profit margin.
