Kyivstar Reaches 5 Million Starlink Mobile Connections and Validates Satellite POS Transactions
Kyivstar reports 5 million customers have accessed its network via Starlink Mobile, sending over 7 million SMS messages since November 2025. It has enabled 4G smartphone messaging and validated 4G satellite POS transactions, and plans to launch light data services for emergencies in 2026.

Kyivstar reports 5 million customers have accessed Starlink Mobile satellite connectivity since November 24, 2025, resulting in over 7 million SMS messages transmitted.
2. Wartime Resilience Deployment
Integration of non-terrestrial networks has enabled messaging during power blackouts and damaged infrastructure, with 376,000 satellite SMS exchanged in frontline areas over the past 30 days.
3. Enterprise and Financial Services
Kyivstar is testing satellite links in agriculture, geodetic surveys, humanitarian demining and National Police operations, and has validated 4G POS terminal transactions via satellite with Mastercard.
4. Light Data Launch Plans
The operator plans to introduce light data services in 2026 to ensure stable operation of emergency and government communications when terrestrial networks fail.
