L3Harris gets $6 billion Lockheed Martin contract for THAAD propulsion production

1. Seven-year contract
L3Harris said it received a contract valued at more than $6 billion over seven years from Lockheed Martin to expand propulsion production for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system.
2. Production expansion
The contract is tied to a July Department of War initiative to quadruple THAAD production. L3Harris produces the system’s Solid Rocket Boost Motors and Liquid Divert and Attitude Control Systems, and said it will build a new facility to support higher production.
