L3Harris opens Arkansas rocket motor facility to double production capacity
LHX•L3Harris opened a solid rocket motor facility in Camden, Arkansas, designed to double current production capacity. The project is part of a $216 million cooperative agreement signed with the Department of War in 2023.
1. New production facility
The facility will support production of the U.S. Army’s Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System and has room for further expansion. It is part of broader investments totaling billions across four states, including approximately 60 new facilities intended to double, triple or quadruple propulsion production rates across key programs.
