Lakeland Cuts $300K in Annual Costs with 3PL Shift, Adds Sales Director

Lakeland Fire + Safety moved LHD Germany operations to Dekkers Logistics’ third-party logistics model as of May 1, generating about $300,000 in annual lease cost savings and increased regional flexibility. The company appointed Sascha Mueller as Director of Sales and will relaunch at Interschutz 2026 June 1–6.

1. Operations Transition to Third-Party Logistics

As of May 1, Lakeland transitioned LHD Germany from its Wessling facility to a third-party logistics provider, Dekkers Logistics, reducing fixed lease costs by about $300,000 annually and enhancing supply chain flexibility and scalability across Europe.

2. Leadership Strengthened and Brand Relaunch

Lakeland appointed fire and safety veteran Sascha Mueller as LHD Director of Sales, leveraging his 30+ years in the industry, and plans to relaunch the LHD Germany brand at Interschutz 2026 in Hanover from June 1 to 6 to drive market re-engagement and growth.
