Lakeland Secures Emergency Colombian Orders for Turnout Gear, Helmets and Boots

LAKELAKE

Lakeland Fire + Safety received emergency follow-on orders from Colombia's National Fire Department to supply turnout gear, gloves, hoods, firefighting helmets, boots and wildfire jackets. The orders reinforce Lakeland’s regional foothold and support nationwide deployment, positioning the company for repeatable growth across Latin America driven by rising wildfire risks.

1. Emergency Follow-On Orders

Lakeland received emergency follow-on orders from the National Fire Department of Colombia to supply sets of Veridian turnout gear, gloves, hoods, Pacific firefighting helmets, Jolly boots, and wildfire jackets and pants. The DNBC’s orders span fire stations across all 32 Colombian departments under its 2026 equipment modernization project. Terms of the orders were not disclosed.

2. Product Performance and Deployment

Over the past two years, Lakeland’s Veridian Fire Protective Gear subsidiary, in partnership with Makei, has worked to introduce advanced turnout gear solutions to Colombia. Following a March environmental emergency purchase, the DNBC placed a climate emergency order after field deployments earned high marks for quality and performance. Nationwide distribution of this head-to-toe protection package is now underway.

3. Strategic Growth and Market Expansion

These follow-on orders underline Lakeland’s ability to deliver integrated protective solutions at scale and signal accelerating demand in wildfire-prone regions. Establishing a strong footprint in Colombia sets the stage for repeatable growth across Latin America, where climate change and increased human activity are driving wildfire response budgets higher. Lakeland’s global sales network is positioned to capitalize on similar modernization initiatives in other markets.
