Since 2021, the company invested more than $270 million in workforce development, surpassing its $200 million goal, with nearly $53 million allocated in 2025 through 235 university partnerships and 116 new team member programs. Volunteer engagement exceeded expectations with over 290,000 hours logged by year-end 2025, topping the 250,000-hour Communities target.
2. Community Engagement and Procurement
In 2025, Sands procured $2 billion in regional goods and services, including $437 million from diverse small and medium enterprises, and spent $1.7 billion with SMEs in Macao during the five-year cycle. Community support included $11 million in philanthropic contributions, $53 million in cultural sponsorships, and assembly of more than 300,000 hygiene and emergency kits for crisis relief.
3. Planet Pillar and Sustainability Progress
The company reduced scope 1 and 2 emissions by 54% from a 2018 baseline, exceeding both its 17.5% and 30% Science Based Targets, while renewable energy use climbed from 8% to 31%. Additional milestones included a 10% increase in waste diversion, 36% food waste rescue, donation of 52 metric tons of unserved food, transition to reusable water bottles, and an 8% reduction in potable water intensity.
