Laser Photonics says Laser Shield anti-drone system neutralizes simulated Class I drone in under three seconds during live test
LASE•Development focus and government engagement
Development targets a transportable, scalable counter-UAS architecture focused on Group 1 and Group 2 drones for localized perimeter defense.
Direct SOCOM engagement advanced discussions on operational fit, next steps, and potential deployment pathways for the directed-energy platform.
Live test of Laser Shield anti-drone system
Laser Photonics reported live testing of its Laser Shield Anti-Drone system, neutralizing a simulated Class I drone decoy in under three seconds.
The demonstration included autonomous target acquisition, precision beam tracking, and laser engagement, supporting ongoing U.S. government evaluations.
Earlier field testing showed its detection software identified and tracked target drones in more than 95% of real-world scenarios.
