Laser Photonics Unveils CDRH Class I DTMF-4020 Cabinet for Defense MRO

LASELASE

Laser Photonics and Fonon Technologies introduced the DTMF-4020 DefenseTech Blaster Cabinet, a sealed laser cleaning system featuring integrated extraction and heavy-duty gloves for CDRH Class I handheld operation. Engineered for defense MRO, it removes oxides and coatings without specialized PPE or abrasive blasting waste.

1. Product Features

The DTMF-4020 DefenseTech Blaster Cabinet uses a sealed sandblasting-style enclosure with integrated extraction and heavy-duty gloves to enable CDRH Class I handheld laser cleaning. Operators can strip oxides, coatings, and corrosion without specialized PPE or abrasive blasting and capture all fumes and particulates internally.

2. Defense MRO Applications

Designed for military maintenance, repair and overhaul, the system targets critical component preparation by eliminating dust, secondary waste and substrate damage associated with mechanical blasting. The sealed environment ensures consistent cleaning performance and reduces environmental impact and refill costs.

3. Strategic Impact

Chief Executive Officer Wayne Tupuola says the DTMF-4020 strengthens Laser Photonics' competitive position in the growing laser-based MRO market, while VP Matt Kime highlights its ergonomic design and safety enhancements. The partnership with Fonon Technologies expands the DefenseTech product portfolio for government and military customers.
