Latin Explore names Dr. Donovan Pienaar as President and CEO and establishes a five-member Advisory Board to drive its South American exploration strategy. Drilling at the Para copper project in Peru is now imminent, leveraging the board’s collective track record, including a C$481 million Finland district-scale acquisition.
1. Leadership Transition
Dr. Donovan Pienaar has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, marking the end of Mike Basha’s interim tenure. Basha will remain engaged as an Advisory Board member to ensure continuity through the transition to active exploration.
2. Advisory Board Formation
Latin Explore has established a five-member Advisory Board of exploration leaders, capital markets professionals and transaction executives. The board’s mandate is to support execution, discovery and growth across the company’s South American portfolio.
3. Exploration Strategy and Drilling Plans
The company is shifting from portfolio assembly to execution, with drilling at the Para copper project in Peru set to commence imminently. This phase aims to generate early discovery results and advance project valuation.
