Lawmakers to seek Senate approval of permanent US ban on Chinese cars
GM•Bipartisan legislation authors plan to seek unanimous Senate consent Thursday to make the US ban on Chinese vehicles permanent. Senator Elissa Slotkin said she understands the measure has support from 99 senators, with one Republican opposed.

Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin and Republican Senator Bernie Moreno plan to seek unanimous consent this afternoon to approve legislation making the ban on Chinese vehicles in the United States permanent. Slotkin said all Democrats support moving ahead and one Republican opposes the measure; “My understanding is it's 99 to 1,” she said.
