Lee Enterprises acquires USA TODAY Co. newspapers in South Dakota, Montana
LEE•Lee Enterprises agreed to buy USA TODAY Co. newspapers in South Dakota and Montana, effective immediately. The deal includes four newspapers and ends the TNI Partners venture tied to the Arizona Daily Star, which USA TODAY Co. will fully own and operate.
1. Newspaper deal
Lee Enterprises agreed to buy the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, Aberdeen American News, Watertown Public Opinion and Great Falls Tribune, effective immediately. The deal ends the TNI Partners venture tied to the Arizona Daily Star; USA TODAY Co. will take full ownership and operations of that newspaper.
