Leifras Posts 10% Revenue Rise to JPY3.0 Billion, Net Income Up 1.5%
LFS•Leifras delivered record first-quarter revenue of JPY3.0 billion, up 10.0% year-over-year, with net income rising 1.5% to JPY124.3 million. Adjusted operating income increased 1.0% to JPY167.8 million despite a 7.7% drop in reported operating income to JPY153.3 million.
1. Q1 Financial Performance
Leifras achieved record quarterly revenue of JPY3.0 billion (USD18.6 million), a 10.0% increase from JPY2.7 billion last year. Reported operating income declined to JPY153.3 million (USD1.0 million) from JPY166.1 million, while adjusted operating income rose 1.0% to JPY167.8 million (USD1.1 million) and net income increased 1.5% to JPY124.3 million (USD0.8 million).
2. Operational Highlights
In the sports school segment, membership dipped to 60,960 from 62,495, but revenue climbed 5.6% to JPY2.2 billion (USD13.6 million) driven by higher monthly fees. The social business saw club activities grow 7.6% to 2,120 and revenue surge 24.1% to JPY791.4 million (USD5.0 million) on expanded school club support and after-school daycare services.
3. Cash Position and Guidance
As of March 31, cash stood at JPY2.48 billion (USD15.6 million) with net operating cash outflow narrowing to JPY140.9 million. Full-year guidance remains unchanged, targeting revenue of USD82.9–95.7 million (10.8–27.9% growth) and operating income of USD4.5–5.4 million (13.2–33.9% growth).
