Leifras to Acquire Four Miyagi Daycare Facilities with 100% Occupancy

LFSLFS

Leifras will acquire four child development and after-school daycare facilities in Miyagi Prefecture by May 1, with facilities at nearly 100% occupancy and 23 licensed therapists on staff. Q3 social business revenue grew 36.4% year-on-year, underpinning its Northeast Japan expansion strategy.

1. Acquisition Details

On February 27, Leifras signed a business transfer agreement to acquire four after-school daycare and child development support facilities in Miyagi Prefecture, with closing expected on May 1. The target sites maintain nearly 100% occupancy and are supported by 23 professionals holding national licenses in physical and speech therapies.

2. Financial and Strategic Significance

Leifras’ social business segment delivered 36.4% year-on-year revenue growth in Q3 of fiscal 2025, driven by club activity support and daycare services. The acquisition is projected to generate immediate top- and bottom-line contributions without de novo ramp-up costs and strengthen barriers to entry through specialized staff retention.

3. Integration and Future Growth

Post-close, Leifras plans to integrate its nationwide LEIF after-school framework with the acquired facilities’ therapeutic exercise and learning support offerings to create operational synergies. This transaction marks its first M&A since the Nasdaq listing and sets a roadmap for future roll-up acquisitions in Japan’s fragmented sports and therapeutic education market.
