Leonardo DRS wins $63 million U.S. Army production order for thermal weapon sights
DRS•Leonardo DRS received a $63 million U.S. Army production order for its Family of Weapon Sights – Individual thermal weapon sight under an existing Army contract.
1. Army production order
The order was placed under an existing Army IDIQ contract for thermal weapon sight systems supporting dismounted soldiers. The FWS-I uses uncooled thermal imaging in a clip-on design and is designed to wirelessly integrate with soldier-worn vision devices such as ENVG-B, enabling remote viewing of weapon-sight imagery.
