LG Group to Adopt 10,000 Nvidia GPUs; Nuro Hits Milestones in $500m Robotaxi Deal
NVDA•LG Group will deploy 10,000 Nvidia GPUs in its AI research centre and humanoid robot development at LG Electronics. Nuro, backed by Nvidia and SoftBank, has met initial milestones in its $500m funding partnership with Uber and Lucid to launch a planned 35,000-unit robotaxi fleet using its self-driving software.
1. LG Group Orders 10,000 Nvidia GPUs
South Korea's LG Group has committed to integrating 10,000 Nvidia GPUs into its AI research centre and the development of a humanoid robot at LG Electronics. The GPUs will be used to train advanced machine learning models and power robotics applications, representing a significant direct hardware sale for Nvidia.
2. Nuro Achieves Milestones in $500m Robotaxi Partnership
Nuro, which counts Nvidia and SoftBank among its investors, has met its first set of development and commercial targets under a $500m funding agreement with Uber and Lucid. The milestones unlock performance-linked capital and pave the way for testing and eventual deployment of a 35,000-vehicle robotaxi fleet running Nuro's autonomous driving software on Lucid Gravity SUVs.
