Liberty Broadband turns to Q2 FY26 net loss of $2.13 billion; revenue falls to $13.53 billion
Quarterly results swing to loss
Liberty Broadband posted a net loss from continuing operations of $2.13 billion, swinging from net earnings of $356 million a year earlier.
Share of losses from affiliate widened to $2.65 billion from earnings of $345 million, reflecting a $3 billion impairment on its Charter investment.
Interest expense fell to $23 million from $28 million on lower rates and the retirement of exchangeable senior debentures on April 6, 2026.
Cash position and Charter transaction
Cash and cash equivalents totaled $43 million at June 30, 2026; net cash used in operating activities was $118 million for the six months.
Charter agreed to acquire Liberty Broadband; Charter also advanced a $359 million term loan on May 12, 2026 after the margin loan LTV exceeded 50%.
