Lightbridge posted a Q2 net loss of $5.8 million, widening from a $3.5 million loss a year earlier; loss per share was $0.18 vs. $0.16.
Operating loss widened to $7.6 million from $4.1 million as operating expenses climbed to $7.6 million from $4.1 million.
R&D expense jumped to $4 million from $1.6 million; G&A rose to $3.7 million from $2.5 million, on higher compensation and stock-based pay.
Cash and cash equivalents increased to $237.5 million at June 30 from $201.9 million at Dec. 31; six-month operating cash outflow widened to $8.3 million.
Operational and project updates
Management said INL work produced first irradiated material for examination, with post-irradiation exams expected later this year.
It also cited patent allowances and a HALEU supply MOU.
