Lightwave Logic’s high-speed electro-optic polymer modulators are now available in GDSFactory’s PDK for GlobalFoundries’ silicon photonics, enabling direct tape-out of 200G and 400G per lane designs. Upcoming 2026 tape-outs will validate low-power, scalable modulators for data centers and AI acceleration as GlobalFoundries refines its 300mm slot waveguide process.

1. PDK Integration Unlocks Commercial Pathway

Lightwave Logic’s electro-optic polymer modulator platform is now embedded in GDSFactory’s PDK for GlobalFoundries’ silicon photonics, providing designers with a streamlined workflow from architecture to tape-out, including simulation, verification, and fabrication handoff.

2. 200G/400G Tape-out Validation

Initial tape-out runs are underway to validate modulator performance at 200G and 400G per lane, with further 2026 validation runs slated to demonstrate low-power operation and scalability for high-performance data center and AI acceleration systems.

3. Silicon Photonics Process Optimization

GlobalFoundries is updating its 300mm slot waveguide process to align with Lightwave Logic’s next-generation device architecture, strengthening manufacturability and long-term commercial scalability in the photonic integrated circuit market.
