Expanded Indigenous engagement at Thacker Pass
Lithium Americas outlined expanded Indigenous engagement tied to Thacker Pass, centered on its relationship with the Fort McDermitt Paiute and Shoshone Tribe.
An amended and restated Community Benefits Agreement was signed following a Tribal Council request to renegotiate terms, granting greater autonomy over funding use.
A Cultural Resource Monitoring agreement is set for implementation in 2026, allowing designated tribal monitors during surveys, pre-construction and ground-disturbing work.
